A Guide to Tallus Ridge Parks
May 12, 2021Your Guide to an Okanagan Summer
June 16, 2021The Okanagan may be known for its wine, but one shouldn’t forget it’s also home to great craft beer.
West Kelowna is fortunate to be home to two quality craft brewers, so no need to cross the bridge to find your beer fix.
The newest brewery is the recently opened Lakesider Brewing, located at 835 Anders Road in West Kelowna. They embrace the idea of being a ‘lakesider,’ or someone who is most content when beside a lake.
They have a core menu of unique beers, including Endless Summer Patio Heff, BeachComber IPA, Cabin Fever Black ISA, and Sunburn! Amber Ale, just to name a few. They also offer a variety of ciders and wines for those to wet your palate.
Their food offerings are as interesting as their beers, offering charcuterie and cheese boards, five types of street-style tacos, thin crust pizzas, and warm cubano sandwiches.
Lakesider has a patio for outdoor dining and is pet friendly, so you can stop by for a beverage while walking your dog.

The Westside’s original brewery is Kind Brewing, which opened its doors on Main Street in 2017. Started by Joe Slykerman, they offer a rotating selection of craft beers with some very interesting flavours.
Along with the usual lager and IPA, they come up with some very unique brews. In recent months they have made a lemon pepper saison, strawberry Hefeweizen, a pina colada IPA, and blueberry hazelnut stout. And that’s just a few of the small batch beers they make on the regular.
And they don’t just offer beer. Kind Brewing also has a smokehouse barbecue with burgers and full racks of ribs cooked to perfection, along with handmade pizza to enjoy with your pint. If you just want a snack, they make a homemade hot pretzel you can enjoy on their patio with your favourite brew.
